Any alternative fuels for Automobile

In a world of every growing technology that is constantly trying to improve and refine many researchers and car manufacturers work together to provide alternative fuel sources to drive our transportation. Due to the lower resource of fossil fuels and growing greenhouse gas prices its more than just money we need to save by searching for alternative fuel sources.

In order to prevent our transports poisoning our planet a number of possible alternative fuel sources are created for cars. Many of them have not yet reached the public eye but you see more and more options coming into the light.

Electric cars are becoming increasingly popular from hybrid models to the kind you can connect at night to charge. Flex cars and smart cars and roll out of retailers and consumer hands to be test driven and fair owners to get an idea of how well they will do in a fast and fast demand market. Many of these cars are still hybrid models which means that even if they get the most of their fuel from a rechargeable battery they still have a tank full of gas only if you lose your charge. Electric cars are seen everywhere these days and as manufacturers and mechanics work out more bugs in them the value of these cars increases. They save money pollute less and look cool.

Solar cars are another car tested on the market today. You do not see so many of them on the roads anyway because the mechanics and engineers are still working on many bugs and flaws. Not to mention they are still very expensive. These solar cars are flowing from the suns energy and as long as you have daylight you have a fully driven and equipped car. Many of these solar cars can be placed in a category of electric cars as they generally turn off electrical parts but they are powered by the sun. This is a cool option for alternative fuels for cars if only they can figure out what you do when it gets dark ...

Vegetable oils are not just a possible fuel source; They are one of the leaders in alternative fuel sources for vehicles that go green. These engines can be powered by a number of well used and processed oils and use much less fuel than the traditional gasoline engine. Not only that but these oils are widely available easily manufactured and emit very little waste or toxins in the air.

There have also been rumors of vehicles that already run entirely from hydrogen and even many backyard mechanics have discovered the benefits of adding a hydrogen system to a gasoline engine. Just adding hydrogen gives a gasoline extra horsepower uses less fuel and releases only oxygen as waste. Once the fine tuning of a complete Hydrogen engine has been completed we should have cars that can run almost clean from water.

A final source of discussion about possible alternative fuels for cars is methane gas. If they could only find a way to get the smell out then we had an almost perfectly combustible source of fuel. Metangas are found in the excrement of mammals and land animals especially the excretion of humans and cattle. If they were to refine a system for it all car owners could fill their own tank when they had to use the toilet. Which means that these vehicles will be equipped with some type of built in toilet. The bonus for this system would be that you would pay the same amount to burn your car as you do for your meals and the waste is toxic other than the smell.

These are not all possible alternative fuels for cars but so many are up in todays world that it will be hard to keep track of all of them. Its somebodys guess on what new and amazing car technology will come next.
