I have been taking this supplement for 3 days now and I am on a combination of supplements to really clamp the vice on cortisol. I am aware that total eradication of any hormone in the body is not only dangerous, it is counter-productive. My staple supplements include:
Fish oil
Flax oil
mutlivitamin
lean tea complex with 12.5mg of ephedrine HCL 2x a day
(the combination of the lean tea complex and low dose ephedrin doesn't fatigue my adrenal receptors and acts as a mild SSRI. ALSO, the fat burning effects occur on a cellular level, and t4 to t3 conversion is further optimized)
Along with these supplements, I started retain at 3 caps spread evenly, Blaze at 3 caps spread evenly, and Reduce XT (same as lean xtreme) 1 cap upon waking and 1 cap right before bed.
Each company argues that one is better than the other at blocking cortisol, burning fat, maintaining muscle, etc. but the fact is, they're all different and they all make you feel different! Blaze makes me sweat like a pig during workouts and gives me a slight mood enhancement (how i don't know). Lean Xtreme (reduce xt) has helped me greatly maintain muscle mass on a caloric restriction. The two compounds are obviously different in effect and structure, so I use both at a safe, moderate dose!
The review was for Retain, I am sorry for babbling, but I figure I'd list the other supps and my experiences with them. I have to add that the P-Tyramine in the Retain gave me a really odd irregular heart beat at a latter point in my workout today. It was very strange and I had to take a break and sit out for about 15 minutes. I read about people with similar instances, but now I understand what it's like. Supposedly any side effects will subside after a few days, but should this happen, take my advice and WAIT it out! If anyone has questions as to my progress, I will not write another long, boring review, so email me at Greenlifeguardx@optonline.net. |
