As far as protein powder goes the vanilla tastes pretty good. I did not have a problem mixing it , I use the free shaler BN sends with it and it seems to mix fine with milk and water. I take it before bedtime or if I know I am going to have to miss a meal and as already stated you do get a more of a fealing of being full than with whey.
