MCT oil has become an essential part of my diet, up there with protein powder and miltivitamins. Not only does it provide extra calories which are used primarily for energy (thus, the fat is not stored in the body), but it also gives my protein shakes a delicious taste. It's odd; by itself, MCT oil is tasteless. But add it to a shake, and it turns it "creamy", both in texture and taste. No more watery taste, it's full and reminiscent of a snickers bar.
Everyone who drinks protein and would like a little more easily-accessed energy should try this out. Just a tbs or two in your shake will do the trick.
[Warning: don't take it by itself. I tried this when I first got the stuff (before I figured out its enlightening effects on pro shakes). It's an instant stomach ache, especially if you haven't had much experience in the past. Just to make sure it wasn't something else I had eaten, I tried again a few days later, same thing.
