Well I don't know where to begin. Except to say I feel truly blessed.
What am I talking about? Talking about being a *responder* to hoodia. Especially so since I'm a none responder to creatine and EC. And note this as its very important to have in mind when talking about hoodia. I'll get back to that later, first my experience.
So here I am, I'm getting my hoodia container. I say heh, pretty neat lets give it a try. So just to get a feel for the taste of the powder i just dip my finger in the powder, there were (I'd estimate now) no more than 10mg of powder in that. So I lick the thing and... Well I forget all about the hoodia... Just so that 5-15 mins later it kicks in and I get a LUMP IN MY THROAT. Kinda like when you're soooo overfed and had a 6 hour binge that could put an elephant to shame. I was bloated and my body was saying "please NO MORE food"... And I had none all day!?!? Now that was my initial experience and since then I've been cruising just fine on the regular dosing, getting consisstent results.
Now the bad news. The way people respond to hoodia is so varied across the masses that it would give a statistican a massive headache. Some lucky people get very good results (like yours truly), some ephedrine like, some mild and some no results at al.
But that's not all. For some people it works very good on low carb, none at high carb - so that hoodia makes them not want/crave carbs on low carb. For some its the opposite, so that hoodia makes them get/feel overfed with the carbs they'd ussualy just feel slightly hungry with on hi-carb. And there's almost any combination of the above too. To top it all off, some people have consistency issues, sometimes it works, sometimes not. For others yet it backfires so that when when the effect wears off they crave double what they would before the hoodia.
What's real neat is what realization hoodia brought to me... And that is what succesfull dieters have been saying for years: "The mental part is just as important as the physical one". By killing my physical appetite, hoodia made me realize when I was craving something as a boredom killer, as a self-sabotage... you know... the works. It helped me dissasociate the two. Coz when you're a chronic dieter, you tend to link up the two, labeling the pair as just "hunger".
Conclusion:
From the online forums i've looked at it seems everyone atleast had *some* effect from it. The people who were complete non-responders were REAL rare, as were the people who got really GOOD results. So the ultimate review is your own. Hoodia seems to be a very personalized experience. So you'll have to try for yourself to know.
