The vanilla custard version of this is VERY sweet, like sweet vanilla pudding with extra nutrasweet added. I had to add unsweetened cocoa powder to cut the sweetness. However, if you are lactose intolerant or can't tolerate soy as a slower digested protein, this does the job. I use it twice during my office hours (late morning, mid-afternoon) to keep a steady available protein supply. I do not use it post-workout (I can tolerate some whey isolates). Again, unsweetened additives help get this down.
Visually its nothing like whey, and clumps together when dry. If you immediately shake it after adding water, it mixes thoroughly with almost no clumpage.
