Just finished week four of Trenadrol cycle (going for six weeks total)…This is my first cycle and I am trying to get into good shape/begin bodybuilding… meaning lose body fat and gain muscle to look better.
SUPPLEMENTS: Kilo Sports Trenadrol…took 2 pills/day in week one and two, and then 3 pills/day for weeks three and four. Also took 6-OXO for week one until I realized that I really didn’t need it during the cycle since Tren is non-aromatizing and I’ve never had a gyno issue. I will add it back in for PCT.
I also took Animal Paks (1/day), loads of whey and casein protein with soy milk, some sleep stuff (1g GABA, 3g melatonin, valerian root), coleus forskholii (when I remembered), Cycle Support (Anabolic Innovations) 2x/day, and DHEA (200-250 mg/day) starting on weeks three and four (to increase libido, which was dropping)…also, occasionally (especially in weeks one and two when I was acclimating myself to working out again) 1-2 AMP (Ergopharm) caps and 2-4 geranamine (1Fast400) caps before workout and post-workout to raise metabolism and continue the after burn post-workout.
BACKGROUND/FOUNDATION: 39 Yr old male, 5’ 8”, lifting on and off (more off than on though) for a year or so…trying to get back into shape after 3 month lay-off and then having only been in shape for about 3-4 months prior to that….and then nothing for many years before that…just a pot-belled, middle-aged man.
TRAINING: Two-day split/ twice a week (M,T, TH, F) and was supposed to do cardio on Wednesday for about 20-30 mins, but I failed to do for most of the 4 Wednesdays).
Weights: moderate weight, 3 sets of 12 with little rest between sets to burn fat. I lift for about 45 mins. to 1 hour total and go hard the whole time. My heart rate is way up during my workouts and I sweat so much that I look like a jumped in the pool.
DIET: High protein/low calorie. Unfortunately for me, it could have been much, much better, but I could not get my eat on…I had no appetite…probably from the geranamine and AMP, so I cut back on that to start getting hungry again. Took 3 protein shakes per day (whey with soymilk and casein/whey/soy at night). I didn’t eat hardly any food for weeks 1 and 2 and then starting eating again around end of week three into week four. I estimate I ate about 200 g protein /day (really need about 300g -330g protein to build more muscle) with very little carbs or fat (since I wasn’t eating much solid food and when I did, I tried to eat high protein foods with little carbs and fat).
STATS/RESULTS (week four of six): Start =179 lbs, 17% BF. After week four = 180 lbs., 15% BF. Net muscle gain = 4 lbs. and net fat loss = 3 lbs. So…lean muscle mass went up and body fat went down…exactly what I was hoping for.
LIBIDO: Libido dropped off for me…sex drive almost shut off…which can good or bad depending on what your goals are during the cycle! I started to take DHEA and that seemed to raise libido a bit.
AGGRESSION: Regarding “alpha male” characteristics/ aggression/”roid rage”… I found that I didn’t get angry about things easier, but when I did get mad, I went from zero to “wicked-hot pissed off” almost instantly. Of course, I found myself wanting to beat the hell out of a few people occasionally as well. However, I expected that side effect and try to curb my anger…but being a UFC/MMA fan, it’s hard not to think about throwing an elbow to the face or a looping right hook to the temple to turn the lights out on someone that pisses you off.
STRENGTH: Definitely increased faster than it would have without the Trenadrol. I expected strength to increase because I was coming back from a lay off and I would start out weak, but having “come back” before, my “come back” time was cut in half at least (usually 2-4 weeks to get back into it…only 1-2 weeks with Trenadrol). I also noticed an increased muscle/mind connection and could feel each muscle working much more than before.
SIZE: Everything grew! I didn’t take beginning measurements, but I can see it and feel it in the way my clothes fit. I think I gained about an inch in my arms alone. I was very happy with the results and wish I would have eaten more. I probably could have doubled my results.
VASCULARITY: I can see veins I’ve never seen before. My fat is all in my mid section so the rest of my body is very thin skinned and the vascularity has increased dramatically. Probably a combination of the Trenadrol and losing body fat. Veins are popping out everywhere!
HARDNESS: Muscles feel rock hard quickly when working out and maintain that hardness throughout the workout. Also after week 3 it seems like I am semi-pumped all of the time and I get pumped very easily during everyday activities (like raking the yard or something).
NEXT….. Two more weeks to go. I’m going to try to eat about 100g more protein and isolate body parts to work them harder and less often (1x week). I’ll add in a little HIIT cardio as well to continue to burn fat. Then PCT…probably 6-OXO, Clomed, tribulus, paravol, CEE (to keep strength up during PCT and maintenance)…
Needless to say, I am VERY pleased with Trenadrol. I hope my observations help….
