Nice combo!
My previous supplment run down use to go like this, 40g wpi 30 minutes before workouts and then I follow up with 40g of dextrose pwo and then 40g wpi 30 minutes later. This worked well for someone on a budget, but I wanted to try and venture out and see what all the hype was with the the bcaa and waxy.
I began using 10g bcaa with crystal lite during my workouts and wow! Much more energized, faster recovery between sets and better pumps. I've also notice that bcaa are somewhat thermogenic, like taking a small fat burner, i sweat more during the workout. Pwo workout, I take 60g of waxy with 10g of bcaa and 15 minutes my muscle feel nice and full again and I feel mental and physically refreshed, not like with I was taking dextrose and whey. The dex and whey made me full, but made me very sleepy. As far as DOMS go, I can't really comment. I think that my nutrition is pretty spot on and protien and macros are dialed in pretty good for recovery and growth.
I wish I could afford to go as high as 40g bcaa during workouts and pwo. I sure the result was be nothing but amazing. I'm now a believer in bcaa and their anabolic abilities and the waxy, nothing but the best pwo shake you could ever drink. I wouldn't be surprise if this becomes the staple of many endurance atheletes recovery formula, if it already hasn't it.
Just wanted to mention, I should of bought some glycerin/glycerol to mix with my bcaa for my workout outs. The pumps are really good with the bcaa, but with the glycerin, I sure my pumps would be painfully pleasant...I have to order it next time.
