I just got this stuff a while ago, and have used it twice so far. The first time I used it, I used it as an experiment. I thought I would try it mid-day when I was working, just to see if it would "wake me up". I did that because often times, the focus and intensity you have in the gym has nothing to do with something you are taking before the workout. It can be pure motivation, a change in music, temperature you are working out in (I tend to have greater focus in HEAT), etc, etc.. Well, it gave me some really strong feelings of anxiety that I tend to never feel otherwise, so I know for certain that it is more then just a placebo. I had jitters for about 3 hours after taking it, and it took about 45 minutes to kick in and it hit me like a brick. I was light headed most of the remainder of the day as well.
I tried it before my leg workout today, and I had some great intensity, but now after the workout, I feel some of those same jitters I felt when I took it during the day. All and all, I'd say it is great for hitting the weights hard and heavy when you are pretty tired at the end of the day, but I wouldn't suggest taking it if you aren't planning on releasing some massive energy in the gym. It was just what I was looking for, minus the jitters and anxiety, thus the rating of 3 out of 5. |
