I've been having a progressively painful shoulder issue which was eventually identified as a torn rotator cuff. Even rest was not doing the trick, so I gave Cissus a try. At this point the pain has been there for three months, and I had done no lifting for 6 weeks, with no progress on the pain threshold. I took 5GM servings 2 or 3 times a day (While I did not accurately measure, I had a 100 gm container, it gave me 20 servings). For 10 days there was absolutely no change. After that, the next 5 days the pain started disappearing rapidly to the point I can do simple exercises (abs and arms) which place some stress on the shoulder. The pain is still there, but I significantly lower.
I did not have the dramatic recovery some people did, and perhaps the rest finally caught up with the injury, but I am convinced this helped in some way, and have ordered more.
But beware, this stuff tastes god awful. I could not mix it in anything to make it palatable. Finally, I just dumped a heaping teaspoon in my mouth (which actually seemed to hurt the teeth) and washed it down with some flavored liquid (Soda, Strawberry Protein drink). The bitterness of the taste seemed to subside the longer I used it.
I cannot attest with confidence to any other androgenic type effects. The first time I took it I definitely felt very odd, and for the first week I had some sort of rush after taking it, which again somewhat subsided as time went on. There was some evidence of increased testosterone in hair growth (arms, back, but not substantial, just noticeable so do not let that scare you). The wife also mentioned I looked bigger and fuller, when my body should have been going the other way due to inactivity. |
