I've droped whey protein with BCAAs in favour of just BCAAs powder because the whey was giving me gastric problems, diareah etc. I must say I'm impressed by the effects I feel on just BCAAs compared to the whey+BCAAs.
Maybe it's because i eat enough protein from normal foods and realy just needed the BCAAs that the body can't make. This stuff works for me.
The only 2 problems I have found are taste and mixing. And i solved both. to mix it well, mix it with some hot water, doesn't need to be boiling, just hot enough. stir it vigourously for a minute or so and it will eventualy disolve completly. the taste i solved by adding grapefruit juice concentrate. It gives a nice flavour, you can either wait for it to cool or you can drink it hot and it tastes like a grapefruit tea :) it's quite nice. I also mix my creatine in the same way together with the BCAAs. |
