if you are addiction prone or a recovering addict, stay away from this. not alot is known about this stuff. it works in a similar fashion to baclofen, a muscle relaxant. there is little info on overdose or long term use. sounds familiar, as in the case of GHB, marketed in the 80's as supplement for bodybuilders. GHB overdose is seen in ERs frequently as is also known as a date rape drug.
i tried phenibut awhile back and made myself quit and found myself depressed as hell for a couple of weeks.
so, others say "that's why you have to cycle it"- why would you cycle something that makes you feel like shit? it's addictive. the signs that a drug is addictive are: 1) tolerance, 2)seeking behavior 3) use despite knowing that it will hinder functioning 4) craving 5) withdrawl 6) compulsion to use.
