Foremost, do yourself a favor and put this stuff in gel caps. Then it won't be torture to take it. If you mix it in water you will find out just how nasty and acidic it tastes. Even when you put it in gatorade, it is still pretty strong. Double zero "00" size gel caps work well. Ten of them full is about 5 grams worth. This makes taking it a cinch. Now, to address the effectiveness, it is quite effective. I definately notice a drop in strength when I'm off it. I usually take 5 grams a day (in cap form) both on non-lifting and lifting days. On lifting days I drink it with gatorade post-workout and on non-lifting days I just take it with water. In both cases, I have about 3 grams of beta-alanine mixed in my drink. There is research which shows they may act synergistically, but in the past I have noticed that just the CEE works effectively. The value is incredible. Taking 5 grams per day, you get well over half a year's worth of doses. Never going back to phosphagen elite again. For a cheap and effective creatine cocktail, take this stuff with BN beta-alanine with gatorade (post-workout). |
