well, the reviews for this product are all over the place...i've just finished my second 10 pound bag, ordering my third, and i gotta say first, some people care way too much about their protein powder. i mean you eat 3-5 meals a day, and this is just a SUPPLEMENT. there is absolutely no protein powder that is going to make or break your workout routine...it's just silly to care that much. they're a good idea to have to make sure you get the proper nutrients, but diet should always come first. from the reviews i've read:
bad truths- -causes gas (although some reviews make it sound like it will ruin your life, and that's extreme to say the least) -feels light in comparison to other powders (i would never recommend making a meal of this...always eat something as well, preferably carb-loaded) -bag stops closing after a while (but unlike the moronic complainers, i bought a tupperware-like container myself at walmart. it's a one-time $5 cost, and the fact that you're even in the market for this product means you can afford it)
good truths- -great quality (the best) -great taste (only tried chocolate and it's never gotten old) -dirt cheap
and one more thing. i'm tired of reading reviews that compare this product to nitro-tech, cell-tech, etc. this is strictly a WHEY product. nitro-tech is more than just whey...of course you will see better results. nitro-tech is the equivalent of taking this product along with small doses of no2...so while alone it beats this, stacked with no2 this will be superior. all in all i just wish more people did their homework and i didn't have to read through endless garbage to find the other people who actually know what they're talking about. i give this product a 4 because it is the best pure whey product on the market, but the gas is a minor problem...but in my opinion, taste and insignificant side-effects like gas take a back seat to results anyway, because that's the only reason you lift in the first place. if you want something that tastes like candy and has nothing negative about it, you should just grab a twinky and quit now because you'll never make it if you aren't willing to sacrifice. |
